Request a home safety visit or advice

Request a visit

A Home Safety practitioner will telephone/e-mail/text you and will go through advice with you asking you a few questions about your home. If alarms are required the Home Safety Practitioner will chat through a few options to get those to you.

Have you taken our self assessment test to see if we recommend a home safety visit? If not, take the test first.

If you live in South Wales, we offer you the opportunity to have a FREE Home Safety visit in your home.

If you are a member of the public and wish to book a Home Safety visit please complete the form below.

Visit our station map to see which areas we cover. If you live in an SA postcode, please contact Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service instead.

What happens next?

You will be contacted by firefighters from your local Fire Station or our Home Safety Team. If you require a visit, it will take about 30 minutes and we will provide and install free smoke alarms and heat detectors where risk is identified. Alarms for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing are also available.

We have to look at each Home Safety request received to make sure we give you the right service; you may not need a visit, but instead will give you up to date guidance about how to reduce the risk of fires starting in your home and FREE smoke alarms should you require them.
