Due to Coronavirus restrictions, we are no longer carrying out home visits. A Home Safety practitioner will telephone/e-mail/text you and will go through advice with you asking you a few questions about your home. If alarms are required the Home Safety Practitioner will chat through a few options to get those to you.
We offer you the opportunity to have a FREE Home Safety visit in your home.
This will be carried out by firefighters from your local Fire Station and our Home Safety Team. The visit takes about 30 minutes and we will provide and install free smoke alarms and heat detectors where risk is identified. Alarms for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing are also available.
We have to look at each Home Safety request received to make sure we give you the right service; you may not need a visit, but instead will give you up to date guidance about how to reduce the risk of fires starting in your home and FREE smoke alarms should you require them.
