In October 2019, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting for Wholetime Duty System (full-time) firefighters to start in 2020. Can you be more than the uniform, more than the badge? We are looking for community focused and disciplined individuals who are committed to making Wales a safer place.
We are recruiting Wholetime Firefighters. To be considered, you will need to demonstrate that you share our Core Values and are prepared to commit to the level of training and fitness required to meet the challenging demands of the role.
If you would like to join our team as a Wholetime Firefighter, make sure you register your details and eligibility, as there is high demand for this rewarding role. Registration is open for two days only and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Registration is now closed.
Those successfully registered and eligible will then receive an application form by the 18th October. Completed application forms must be received by 11:59 of 27th October 2019.
If shortlisted, successful applicants will then be asked to attend an ability test. Following on from this stage successful candidates will be invited to attend physical and practical tests and then the final stage is an interview. These stages of the process will be held between November 2019 and January 2020. View the recruitment process here. Please note: this is a highly competitive process.
