Firefighters Deliver Festive Cheer to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital

We are thrilled to be able to report an outstanding response from the local community to a recent appeal made by our firefighters at Aberbargoed Station. Originally the idea of Firefighter Dan Pendry, the On-Call Watch at Aberbargoed pledged to bring a little festive fun to all our young friends at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital this year and made an appeal to businesses in the community to donate toys, gifts, colouring books, pens and pencils.

With the support of the Tredegar under 7’s football team, Tredegar Fire Cadets, and colleague Firefighter Cerrig Wilson of Blue Watch the crew began gathering numerous kind donations, so many that original transport planned to hand over the gifts had to be doubled. Members of the crew were delighted to make the trip to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital last week to hand over the gifts and received a lovely welcome from everyone. All at Aberbargoed Station wish to say a huge thank you to all who kindly donated gifts and toys and to colleagues and their families for their hard work. Your support has been amazing and we look forward to being able to support even more events like this in the future.
