This September South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust joined together to host their very first 999 Weekend at Cardiff Bay

Celebrating a combined proud history of keeping the people of South Wales safe, this free event coincided with the 50th anniversary celebrations of South Wales Police, and saw a full programme of fun family activity, demonstrations and displays staged at the water side venue. With a very sunny start to the weekend organisers were thrilled to see huge crowds turn out to show their support, meeting our emergency service teams, and enjoying the range of vintage vehicles and activity on site.

A change in the weather on the final day of this special weekend did not deter visitors with more than 600 people of all ages also turning out to take part in the annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5k Run/Walk Wales.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust wish to thank all who attended. We hope you enjoyed as much as we did!
