Fire at O'Neills, Cardiff

O’Neills, Trinity Street, Cardiff City Centre
At its height around 50 firefighters and 10 fire officers were at the scene dealing with the fire involving O’Neills public house on Trinity Street in Central Cardiff.
The O’Neills building has been severely damaged by fire and the roof has been destroyed.
However, due to the firefighting efforts of crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service the fire was prevented from spreading to the indoor market and other surrounding buildings.
(1450hrs) Firefighters have now entered building to deal with any hot spots and will damp down until further notice
Equipment used: Two hydraulic platforms, two main jets, two hose reel jets, one safety jet, six firefighters in breathing apparatus and two thermal imaging cameras.
