Fitting a Smoke Alarm
Where you should fit a smoke alarm:
A smoke alarm should always be fitted on the ceiling, 30 centimetres away from any wall or light fittings.
Fit a smoke alarm on each level of the house on the landing and on the hall ceilings.
It is better if most rooms in the house were fitted with a smoke alarm.
Where you would not fit a smoke alarm:-
