Drawing on an extensive field of knowledge, skills and experience we provide a range of specialist services to be used by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service to ensure that equality, diversity and human rights are embedded in the cultural and structural processes of the Service.

• We offer advice and guidance on equality and diversity issues

• We ensure that equality and diversity is mainstreamed through the Service’s internal and external functions

• We offer guidance regarding equality and diversity training, for all Service staff appropriate to role and responsibility

• We can facilitate consultation sessions with diverse groups regarding policy, project development, service delivery and new Initiatives

• We offer confidential advice, guidance and support to staff who suffer unlawful discrimination and/or harassment in work

• We offer advice, guidance and support to managers managing a diverse workforce

• We ensure that the Service meets its statutory obligations as required by equality legislation

• We assist in ensuring that the Service meets the diverse needs of its staff and the community it serves

• We assist with the organisational and cultural development of the Service

• We can provide front line staff with information to equip them to access communities with confidence
