Specialist visits and smoke alarms for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are also available.  The alarm main unit works in conjunction with specialist smoke alarms fitted by the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.  On actuation, the light flashes and the disc attached vibrates as a further warning.

All specialist deaf alarm equipment is supplied and fitted by trained fire service personnel and fitted free of charge.
