What We Do

We are responsible for dealing with all matters relating to the deliberate setting of fires and understanding why it happens, finding out the causes of arson, finding out where these fires may happen, and assisting the Police in the arrest of those responsible.

Why We Do It

The cost of arson to the communities of South Wales is £7 Million per year in the South Wales area. This level of arson is unsustainable in the current economic climate and the Fire Crime Unit is doing it can to reduce this blight in our communities.
