The Domino Effect is a hard hitting education tool kit created by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service aiming to educate new drivers and young people of the effects one road traffic collision can have on many lives.
Firefighters are often the first on the scene of an incident and consequently, some of the first people effected. However the knock on effect of a collision goes much further than the emergency crews. Families and friends of those involved are left behind to deal with the loss of a loved one and the question of whether it could have been avoided by safer more responsible driving.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s Road Safety Team are aiming to deliver the ‘Domino Effect’ presentation to young people aged 15+ throughout the whole of South Wales. The message aims to make people think about the effect a road traffic collision could have on their families and friends as well as educating young people about responsible driving such as speeding, using a mobile phone, wearing a seatbelt and drink driving
