Primary fires (FDR1)

Property fires, for example: dwellings (including mobile homes and caravans); vehicles; schools; hospitals; outdoor storage, plant and machinery; outdoor structures (including post-boxes and bridges); forestry; and all fires that involve casualties, rescues or escapes. Does not include derelict buildings or derelict vehicles

Secondary fires (FDR3)

Non-property fires, for example: grassland; rubbish; single derelict buildings; single derelict vehicles

Special Service Calls (SSC)

These include: road traffic collisions (including the extrication of casualties); releasing/rescuing people/animals; dealing with spills and leaks; flooding incidents; water provision; and removal/retrieval of objects

False Alarms

These can be False Alarms with Good Intent (FAGI) – usually (but not exclusively) received from members of the public or other services; False Alarms with Malicious Intent (FAM) – hoax calls; or Automatic Fire Alarms (AFA) – caused by inappropriate activation of alarms
