South Wales Fire and Rescue Service responds to a wide variety of incidents and so use a wide variety of vehicle types to enable them to respond rapidly and effectively.

South Wales Fire & Rescue Service will continue to develop its fleet options, transportation methods and capability to support operational response to emergencies.  We will continue with the research and development of fire and rescue appliances to achieve modern ergonomically designed vehicles for a diverse workforce.

Vehicles and equipment to deal with fires and emergencies in high rise buildings, animal rescues, transport incidents, environmental protection, water rescues, flooding and command and control will be advanced to ensure that our vehicle resources match the dynamic and changing risks encountered at operational incidents.
