The Great Britain Rugby Section - Tri-Nations rugby tournament 

The Great Britain Rugby Section is hosting a Tri-Nations rugby tournament from the 21st - 24th June 2011 in Wales. 

The Emergency Services National teams from Italy, France and Great Britain will compete in this prestigious event.  First round games will be played at Caerphilly R.F.C on Wednesday 22nd June KO’s 1300, 1430 & 1600.  These are shortened games consisting of 2 x 20 minute halves.

The final will be played between the top two teams from the first round at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday 24th June 2011; KO 1500hrs. 

A 3rd & 4th place play off game will be played prior to the final, KO 1300hrs, these games will be full games.  The 3rd & 4th place play off game will be between the team that finishes 3rd after the first round and a guest South Wales Fire & Rescue XV. 

Huw Jakeway, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, said;

“There are several Welsh players selected for the Great Britain team who deserve all the support they can generate, especially with the event being played in Wales.  This is a great honour for these players and the Service”.
