At approximately 14:08 hours on Monday 28th November, Firefighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) were mobilised to an incident involving a fire at The Top Hat Club, Cwmtillery, Abertillery.

Crews from Abertillery, Blaina and Brynmawr fought the blaze, and an aerial platform from Maindee, Newport, was also brought in.

Andrew Sargent, Station Manager, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said;
The investigation into the cause of the fire has concluded fire was caused as a result of deliberate ignition by a person or persons unknown.
