Firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving a car into a lamppost. One female casualty was released from the vehicle by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment from the rescue tender.

Firefighters responded to a fire in the kitchen of the second floor flat caused by a chip pan. One female casualty suffering smoke inhalation was dealt with by Fire Crews.

Deere Road, Ely, Cardiff


Firefighters attended a fire at an unoccupied house. There was severe damage to the first floor and roof space. One main jet, two hose reels and two firefighters in breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the blaze.

Springfield Care Home, Gilfach, Bargoed


Firefighters attended a fire at a three storey building. The fire was in the first floor bedroom. Four firefighters, one hose reel jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan were used to deal with the blaze.

Firefighters attended a fire on the ground floor at a two storey detached property approximately 60m by 40m. Six firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reels, one safety jet, hydraulic small gear and positive pressure ventilation fan. This property is disused.

Fire crews attended a fire at a two storey terraced property. First floor was well alight. Eight firefighters in breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one main jet were used to deal with the blaze. Both adjacent properties were slightly damaged by smoke.

Firefighters attended a small fire on the first floor. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used. The building was heavily smoke logged.

Station Road, Tonyrefail


Fire Crews attended a road traffic collision involving two cars. Two casualties were removed from vehicles by ambulance service prior to the arrival of the Firefighters and were treated on the scene. Firefighters made the vehicles safe.
