Firefighters from Bridgend Fire Station rescued a woman from the cliff edge at Southerndown, Vale of Glamorgan using line rescue skills.

Group Manager Ian Greenman attended as the Tactical Officer

He said, “Our crews worked extremely professionally to rescue this lady from a sheer drop of about 100ft to the rocks below. The crew used rescue lines to effect a ‘snatch rescue’ and assist the lady quickly up to safety.”
