At approximately 06.18 hours, Tuesday 2nd August, Firefighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) were called to an incident involving a car that had collided with a tree after leaving the carriageway and rolling down the embankment at the A470 Southbound.
Four appliances from Caerphilly, Pontypridd and Ely attended the incident.
The car was well alight when the first crews arrived on scene and Firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control and bring the incident to a close at approximately 06.56.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
