As ever, we aim to respond to your calls for help as quickly as we can. We intend to work harder than ever to prevent emergencies occurring in the first place. During the next twelve months we aim to:

  • Visit 16 local  Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 schools. To provide fire safety education through set programmes of presentation and activity.Forge and maintain links with  Comprehensive schools through activities like the Duke Of Edinburough awards.
  • Carry out local arson vulnerability assessments and work with  local services to remove litter and other potential fire hazards.
  • Work with Gwent Police and Newport Council to reduce the high number of deliberate car fires in and around the Maindee area.
  • Work with Gwent Police and other partners to educate younger drivers and reduce road traffic collisions.
