What’s Happening Now?

Following SWF&RS Risk Reduction Plan, which commenced in 2007, the Station is undergoing a change to the crewing system. It is currently actively recruiting personnel within the locality to undertake Retained Duty System duties which eventually will replace the Day-Crewed system as it now stands. At the moment both systems are running side-by-side until the newly appointed personnel attain the required training and competencies.
