Abercynon Fire Station

Abercynon Fire Station

Abercynon Fire Station is located at The Basin, near to the Navigation Public House. The Station has responded to over 400 calls this year ranging from Road Traffic Collisions to grass fires.

The 14 operational personnel based at the Station work a variety of shifts to maintain the availability of the fire appliance. Where needed, Abercynon Fire Station is also supported by neighbouring appliances from Pontypridd, Aberdare and Treharris.

The aim of Abercynon Fire Station is to serve the community of Abercynon and the surrounding areas with the fire cover and professional standards expected of an emergency service. The Station also strives to carry out its current programme of community fire safety by carrying out free Home Fire Safety Checks and installing smoke detectors within homes in the area. The Station also regularly visits every school in the area to give children early advice on fire safety at home.

Abercynon Station currently has vacancies for retained Firefighters to work on a part time basis. If you think you have what it takes to join our team and protect and serve your local community please call:
