Temporary for 12 months
37 hours per week (flexible working scheme)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the People Development Team based at the Service’s Training & Development Centre, Cardiff Gate. The post-holder will work closely with the Station Manager, People Development to ensure effective and timely Learning and Development (L&D) Programmes are in place for all Service staff progressing through the various stages of their careers.
The main duties of the post holder will be the day to day running of the Learning and Development Team incorporating both Learning and Development Practitioners and the Service’s Training Support Unit (TSU). The successful candidate will also be responsible for advising on and delivering the Service’s L&D strategy which will focus on a variety of areas such as Leadership Development, E-learning, Technical skills Training and Employee Inductions. The post-holder will be integral to the creation and delivery of all Learning and Development courses run across the organisation so experience in building and/or procuring Training courses is key.
This job involves occasional travel throughout the Service area. As such, the successful applicant must be able to travel between locations. All new employees are subject to completion of a satisfactory Drug and Alcohol Test and Disclosure Scotland Clearance prior to an appointment being made.
