Support Staff 

There are a variety of exciting and challenging Support Staff roles across the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

We have four Directorates which are detailed below:

Directorate: Corporate Services 
Departments: Media and Communications, Welsh Language, Equality and Diversity, Major Projects and Property, Business Support, Finance and Procurement

Directorate: People Services 
Departments: Human Resources, Occupational Health, Training

Directorate: Technical Services
Departments: Fleet and Engineering, Operational Risk Management, ICT

Directorate: Service Delivery
Departments: Performance Planning, Risk Reduction, Fire Control, Operations 

Roles include administrative personnel, human resource and finance professionals, ICT technicians, media and marketing specialists, graphic design professionals, motor vehicle technicians, community safety personnel, project managers and many more.

Society is also changing and become more culturally diverse.  It is important that the Fire Service understands and represents the community it serves.  Our Support Staff team needs to represent all aspects of society and as such the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service welcomes applicants from all areas of the community.
