Have you ever wondered what its like to be a Firefighter?
During Firefighter for a day you will have the opportunity spend a day at a Fire Station and take part in Firefighting activities such as ladder climbing, spraying a hose, working in a team and carrying out a search and rescue exercise in a simulated incident.
There will also be an opportunity to learn about the hazards encountered by fire and rescue service personnel during their daily activities and understand the impact of incidents such as grass fires on your community.
You will be placed in a team commonly known as a “watch” and given challenges throughout the day; it will be fast, fun and action packed!
