Welcome to our Improvement Plan for 2011/2012 in which we tell you about some of our main achievements between April 2010 and March 2011 and what we plan to do between April 2011 and March 2012. 

This Improvement Plan for 2011/2012 incorporates our 2012/2013 Risk Reduction Plan which updates the position with regard to the Projects identified as key improvement activities in the 2011/2012 Risk Reduction Plan.

In order to make things easier to understand we try to make clear to you the differences that you as a member of the community can see as a result of our activities carried out between April 2010 and March 2011.

As you will see from many of our activities South Wales Fire and Rescue Service continually strives as an Organisation to provide excellent services to you in order to meet our Vision of making South Wales the safest place to live, work and visit.

Some of the improvements made are requirements of Government while others are simply because we believe they are the right things to do.

In both cases you can be assured that the need to keep you as safe as possible is at the very forefront of our thinking.

We hope you find the Plan both informative and reassuring and we would welcome feedback from you on any aspect of the Plan that you feel you may want to comment upon.
