Diversity and Careers in SWFRS

Welcome to the Careers pages for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS).  These pages have been designed to provide you with access to a range of information relating to Careers within our Service.

For live and current vacancies [click here] and information on different roles within the Service, through to detailed information for specific community groups (see below) each page is designed to support individuals in their pursuit of a career with our Service.

At South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (“the Service”) we recognise that our employees are our most important asset and regardless of role from Operational and Fire Control to Corporate and Agency staff we know that all employees makes a huge contribution each day in moving us closer to protecting the communities of South Wales.

In addition to us recognising the importance of the diverse functions across our organisation we believe strongly in the value of having a diverse and inclusive workforce.  We recognise that everyone is different and we would like to celebrate those differences by ensuring that each future candidate has the information they need to support them in considering our Service for their future careers.

As such, the linked pages below are presented to you by a diverse mix of current employees with their future colleagues in mind.  They have been developed to showcase various careers within the Service, to give some personal narrative around our own employee’s experiences and to provide advice and information that is specific to the diverse and vibrant communities across our region.
